CAN HIPHOPPERS GO TO HEAVEN?

From Hip-Hop to Heaven Ministries Hosts A Virtual Prayer Service Tonight For Slain Eminem Protege Tonight at 9pm ~ 605-990-0200, Conference Code 984954#

New York, NY - Rapper "Proof" from Eminem's platinum selling group D-12 was shot and killed early yesterday morning in Detroit. The gunfight left Proof dead, a bouncer seriously wounded and another black eye on the Hip-Hop community.

Since 2004, the From Hip-Hop to Heaven Ministries network has grown to include hundreds of Gen X'ers collectively looking to God for answers. Generation X grew up in the 80's, enjoyed the prosperity of their own businesses in the 90's and now, many in their 30's, are forced to make some serious decisions about the direction of their lives.

"It's not cool to be heading into your 40's and still getting shot at," says Saideh Browne, author of the book From Hip-Hop to Heaven and founder of a ministry that carries the same name. "Life after my Hip-Hop career was a very painful transition, but I made it and I'm happier because of it," she continues.

From Hip-Hop to Heaven Ministries hosts a prayer call every Wednesday night designed to uplift and empower. Tonight's call will feature a special prayer for Proof and Hip-Hop artists worldwide. "My goal is to simply reveal God to my generation, I encourage people to remain anonymous on the call, but know that we are praying with and for them."

Saideh closed her urban marketing firm once she made the transition into ministry but continues to use the same techniques to get God's loving message to the masses. The marketing mix of street teams and posters now includes Podcasting and TeleConferences; just more methods for keeping Jesus in the mix in 2006!

About the Company

From Hip-Hop to Heaven Ministries was founded by former Hip-Hop industry insider Saideh Browne. After years of working in various positions then starting her own urban marketing firm, Saideh exposed herself and her family to the prosperity and misogynistic landscape of the enticing yet destructive Rap music world. In 2003, she made her exodus.

After taking a year off to assess life and her place in it, Saideh wrote the book From Hip-Hop to Heaven, released in 2004, and later founded her ministry.

Saideh is proud of her college degree as well as all of her honors and achievements, but her true happiness is found as a wife and loving mom to her two sons. She is a published author, handles the day-today operations of a rapidly growing ministry and speaks at youth and faith based conferences and events around the country.

The From Hip-Hop to Heaven Youth Empowerment Conference DVD (recorded live in January 2006) and Mix Tape will be released in June 2006, in honor of Black Music Month.

Saideh Browne, author From Hip-Hop to Heaven and founder From Hip-Hop to Heaven Ministries is available for interview.

Can a Las Vegas Original Gangster (OG) be the Answer to the Nation’s 5th Largest School District Prayers to Eradicating Gang Violence

Ramont Williams founded one of the city's first gangs. Now he's trying to defang the monster he helped create through his groundbreaking proactive prison ministry and gang intervention seminars/workshops.

(PRWEB) April 11, 2006 -- On Easter Sunday, April 16, 2006 at 3:02 p.m. (PST) on “Save the Lost At All Cost” a totally “Live” weekly radio ministry hosted by Nina S. Griffin of Lost Sheep Consulting featured on Las Vegas’ very on KKVV 1060 AM (Christian Talk Radio) and streamed “Live” on the internet @ www.sheepfinders.com. Mr. Ramont Williams will be introducing his “From Crip To Christ” Ministries to the greater Las Vegas community and to the world wide internet. Ramont will be taking calls for the entire 58 minute broadcast. Callers in the greater Las Vegas area can call (702)650-5588 and if you’re calling outside the Las Vegas area please call (800) 366-8883 to speak with a man who knows the streets of Las Vegas like few who have ever lived to tell. Mr. Williams founded the GQs who later became known as the Donna Street Crips. “Donna Street” is called the “bloodiest street” in Clark County because more deaths by “gun shots” have occurred on that lone street than any other in the entire State of Nevada. Ramont was the first “Crip” ever to be incarcerated in the State. That happened on August 14, 1980 and Ramont was just 17 years old. He was sentenced to 61 years. More often than not with that much time “death” would have been an option for some but not for Ramont. He decided to give his life to “Christ” because if God could use a known “Christ Killer” the Apostle Paul, Mr. Williams knew God could use him too.

For over the past 10 years Ramont has been putting his knowledge about Las Vegas street gangs and incarceration to excellent use by visiting those same streets he use to claim ownership and allegiance by helping gang members become productive “ex” gang members. Ramont knows about “ground zero” and that’s where you’ll find him in the streets addressing the needs, hurts and interests of the those touched by gang violence. Mr. Williams knows that he past lifestyle has been for God’s glory to minister to those who society would rather just bury quietly and/or lock up indefinitely. Ramont readily shares his expertise with schools, churches, non-profit organizations targeting “at risk” children, community based businesses, state, city, county and other government agencies, parents, concerned citizens and gang members no matter what “set” they represent. Mr. Williams knows he’s blessed to be alive, married to his lovely wife, Christine and to kiss their four beautiful boys they have together daily.

The U.S. Bureau of Justice Statistics (BJS) reports that 1 out of every 143 Americans is now in jail, with another 700 new inmates joining them weekly. According to the BJS report "Prisoners in 2002," U.S. prisons, jails and juvenile facilities held 2,166,260 persons at the end of last year.

Mr. Ramont Williams is available for interviews, to speak, consult and/or conduct seminars/workshops on how to implement an effective proactive prison ministry and/or gang intervention program.

If you would like to contact Ramont Williams call (702) 348-8311.
